MHRA Licences

MHRA Wholesale Dealers Authorisation Licence

A recent inspection of our Site and Quality Systems was carried out by the MHRA, 23rd May 2010.

The MHRA  grade their findings in three categories:

-          Critical

-          Major

-          Other

We had no findings in the Critical and Major category.

We had two findings in the ‘Other’ category. These both referred to our SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).

The result of this audit was similar to the last audit, 8th June 2006. This also only raised findings in the ‘Other’ category.

From this MHRA inspection we are very pleased to be able to show that we our running our business in line with the principles and guidelines of GDP (Good Distribution Practice). See below for GDP definition.

Good Distribution Practice (GDP) deals with the guidelines for the proper distribution of medicinal products for human use. GDP is a quality warranty system, which includes requirements for purchase, receiving, storage and export of drugs intended for human consumption.

GDP regulates the division and movement of pharmaceutical products from the premises of the manufacturer of medicinal products, or another central point, to the end user thereof, or to an intermediate point by means of various transport methods, via various storage and/or health establishments.

Our MHRA Wholesale Dealers Authorisation Licence has been in place since May 1998.
